Brush Collection Update

So I've added two new brushes to brush collection. They are both from E.l.f. Cosmetics. These products can be found at Wal-Mart and even the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar.

Te two brushes I bought were the:
1. Professional Eye Shadow Brush
2. Professional Bronzing Brush

I tend to use the bronzing brush on my eye as a blending brush. They have a blending brush as well that works really well, that I also plan to add to my collection.

I absolutely love this brand. They are called Dime Piece Designs and are located out of California. The pictures below are from their Fall/Winter 2009 look book featuring model/R&B singer Cassie. Look: We Own The Night

MAKEUP COMBINATION: GOLD SMOKEY EYEThe eyeshadow shades above come from Still Glamorus. From left to right they are: Charm Bracelt, Rock N Roll, and Jazzy. I would use the first color on the lid and inner tear duct, the second color on the outer corner and lower lash line, and the third color as the highlight color.

The lip color is Maybelline New York Shine Seduction Lip Gloss in Champagne Fizz.

120 Manly Palette: Smokey Eyes

Back in January of this year I purchased the 120 Manly Palette off ebay. This palette has 120 colors ranging from neutrals all the way through the rainbow in both shimmer and matte combination. I believe this palette is great to start off with if you are beginning to get into makeup. All your colors are available in a two tier compact case. Other brands carry the 120 palette such as Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics and Beauty Factory.

So below, are two videos I favorited on my You Tube Channel that use the 120 palette to create smokey eyes. ENJOY!!!

SN: If you do plan on purchasing this palette which I highly recommend, try finding a distributor who is located in the U.S. On ebay, a lot of them are located in Hong Kong, and that can take 3 weeks to get to you, rather than 5 days.

Review/Haul: Nude Lip Colors

Over the weekend, while at Wal-Mart I decided to purchase some nude lip color. So I ended up purchasing: L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lip stick in Fairest Nude (which was recommended by You Tube makeup guru, Makeup by Leina Baaaby) and Maybelline New York Lip Polish in Nude Flash.

The lipstick in Fairest Nude is pretty creamy, but I still add a little gloss over it to complete the look and I add the lip polish in the middle of my light for a little highlight.

I absolutely the lip color in Fairest Nude. It looks soooo great. I highly recommend it. Hope you enjoy.

New Look: Bangs

Sooo for the past ummmmm I would say five years I've worn my hair long and layered. I didn't really experiment with color and although I've been contemplating getting bangs for some time, it finally hit me to just go ahead and do it the other day out of no where. So my best friend that usually does my hair, cut my bangs. Its taking time to get used to them, but I like it. I've basically worn my hair in the same style (the "Aaliyah" side swoop bang) for so long that I wanted to switch it up a little. Hope you enjoy!!!

So I had a interview earlier today, and didn't really want to do a very heavy eye, so I decided to go for a more natural look using golds and brown shades. I used:

1. 120 Manly Palette (lid and outer corner)
2. Still Glamorus pigment in Rich Girl (inner corner)
3. Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Mascara in Black
4. Maybelline New York Line Stiletto Liquid Eye Liner in Black
5. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Illuminating Highlighter in Twinkling (on the brow bone)

Kim Kardashian Inspired Makeup

Ok so here is a look from Ms. Kim Kardashian that I absolutely love. It was from her Vegas Magazine cover shoot. I also posted the video of her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic doing the same exact look.

How I Get Nude/Glossy Lips

Okay so this is how I achieve nude glossy lips. I use 3 products:

1. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche in Golden Splendor (goes on first)
2. Ruby Kisses Shine Seduction in Tropical Paradise (goes on second, lightly)
3. C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries Mentha Lip Tint in Violet Mint (goes on last, lightly)

So I was trying out this sample pigment I received from Still Glamorus when I ordered 3 other pigments at full size. Anywho, this is my new fav color. OMG!!! Its called Nude Beach and it is extremely pretty. Its like a sandy pale pinky color. Can't describe it, but I posted pics so you could see for yourself. My Fav Summer Hair and Eye Shadow

So I wear my hair long and have worn it long for over five years now. So these are some hair looks that I think are great for the summer. For wavy and bone straight, to loose curls that flow.
